  • Body Part: shoulder
  • Injury: adhesive capsulitis
  • Amount: $30,000
  • Claimant was a nurse who sustained injury while rolling a patient on a hospital bed.  She did not miss any time from work.  Claimant was able to avoid surgery and instead treated conservatively with physical therapy and a cortisone injection.

  • Injury: distal tibia fracture
  • Amount: $12,040.00
  • Claimant sustained a broken ankle when he was hit by a car while exiting his truck on the side of the road during the course of his employment as a truck driver.  He was placed in an orthosis walking boot while the bone healed and missed approximately 3 months of work.

  • Injury: torn meniscus
  • Amount: $20,000
  • Claimant slipped on ice during the course of employment and injured his knee.  He underwent a successful surgery followed by a course of physical therapy.  Claimant missed less than three weeks of work before returning full duty.

  • Claimant sustained injury while carrying a tire up a ladder.  He missed two weeks of work before returning in a full duty capacity.

  • Claimant slipped on a wet staircase and landed on her knee.  She underwent a course of physical therapy and aquatic therapy.  She was placed on light duty work restrictions but did not miss time from work.
